New for 2017!

As mentioned on our blog previously, Making for Change this year is focusing on the Aston and Newtown areas of Birmingham and we are really excited about the campaigns that might emerge.  Sarah Lopez our fantastic creative apprentice from last year is back to facilitate the week and we have recruited an exciting line up of artists; Melanie Tomlinson, Juneau Projects, Dauvit Alexander, Danielle Laurent, Alexandra Jonssen and Sarah Corbett – more on them soon!

To kick-start the process Sarah (with the help of MFC participants from last year, Mahnaz and Sarah) will be running a series of taster craftivism workshops between May and July.  If you are an organisation in the area and would like to host a free workshop email [email protected]

The main Making for Change training programme will run from the 24th-28th July 2017 with a sharing event on Saturday 29th July at Grosvenor Road Studios.

So, are you aged 16-19 and live in Aston and Newtown (or very close by)?

Do you have an interest in social justice and would you like to make a change whilst learning new skills?

If so visit Take Part bit of the blog and download the application form.
