We are now at the half way point of the programme! Day 3 has seen young people getting to grips with their proposals.  Everyone was charged with thinking about the what? where? when? who? and why? of their campaign and  developing prototypes to present to Sarah Corbett of the Craftivist Collective at a surgery session.  Six different campaigns have emerged that fall under the themes of environment, isolation and stereotypes.

Following a presentation and Q and A session from Sarah on her practice each young person or group of young people met with her to talk through their campaigns.  Sarah then presented each group with a  prescription of next steps.

Today was also a chance to look around mac’s current exhibition New  Art West Midlands as part of the arts awards.  There was some great discussion about the artworks  and what they might be about.

Looking forward to Day 4 a full day of making ready for the showcase on Friday.
